2017 Samba Sister Pictures
We started the season on Easter Saturday playing in Dumfries Town Centre for the annual motorbike Easter Egg run.
We were then invited to Hawick to do a workshop as part of the Mental Health Awareness week – Thanks to Susan for organising and inviting us, Scottish Borders Rape Crisis Centre for providing our lovely lunch (and tea coffee and cake) and the Joint Health Improvement Team – NHS Borders for covering the costs of sponsoring this workshop.
We were invited to take part in the Maidens of Music event in Dumfries in May-this was a music event every Saturday in May celebrating women in music.- Thanks to David Ball for photo.
June was gala time in Amiesfield,Kirkconell & Kelloholm,Collin and Sandside and also the Guid Nychburs festival in Dumfries- Thanks to Alison Boyes for photos and Abby Jardine for the welly one!
It was off to Bladnoch in July as well as Lochside Gala in Dumfries,the first gala in this area for 30 years! We also travelled down to Gretna to take part in the vehicle parade.- Thanks to Alison Boyes and David Ball for photos.
Started off August in Moffat taking part in the parade of nations for the World Gold Panning Championships,then it was off to Kirkcudbright for parade day,Summerhill Fun day and ended the month by cheering on all the runners in the Doonhamer 10K run-Thanks to Alison Boyes and David Ball for photos.
We got our Viking Hats on in September for the Largs Viking Festival.
